When playing with stereo, microphone and mixer, the wire is the first to step on the pit. Many people can't tell the difference between Canon, 6.35 Big Two Core/Big Three Core, and Lotus RCA, and they randomly plug in, resulting in noise, unilateral ringing, howling and weak signal. In this paper, the purpose, differences and common misunderstandings of the interface are explained at one time.
I. Basic understanding of three interfaces
1. XLR of Cannon Line (three cores, male/female)
Appearance: three-pin circular interface, divided into male (output) and female (input)
Signal type: balanced signal
Applicable scenarios:
Moving microphone and condenser microphone are connected to the mixer (the most mainstream)
Long-distance signal transmission between professional speakers, power amplifiers and processors
Wiring of stage, meeting room and performance equipment
Advantages: the anti-interference ability is the strongest, and it is not easy to introduce current noise in long lines (10 meters and 20 meters).
Industry default rules: the female port of audio source equipment outputs and the male port of receiving equipment inputs.
2. 6.35mm interface (commonly known as 6.5 two-core and three-core)
Many people only know 6.35, but they can't tell the big two-core TS from the big three-core TRS. This is the highest error!
Two-core TS (Section 2): Unbalanced signal
Uses: electric guitar, electric bass, common active monitor speaker, and some accompaniment sound sources.
Three-core TRS(3 sections): balanced signal/stereo signal.
Purpose: Balanced line signals, stereo headphones, and some audio processors.
Applicable scenarios:
The mixer line output, musical instrument wire, monitor headphones and some audio equipment line connection.
Focus: big three cores ≠ balance! It depends on whether the equipment supports balanced transmission, and cannot be mixed blindly.
3. Lotus Line RCA(AV Line, Red, White and Yellow)
Appearance: single needle round, common red and white.
Signal type: unbalanced signal
Applicable scenarios:
Player, DVD, TV, Bluetooth audio receiver, mobile phone audio converter.
Home power amplifier, multimedia audio, background music host
Not suitable for: professional stage long-distance transmission
Disadvantages: the anti-interference is the worst, and the current noise is easy to appear when the wire exceeds 5 meters.

Second, the practical wiring specification (pit-avoiding core)
Pit 1: Don't use 6.35 large core instead of Canon for microphone.
Microphones are weak audio signals.
Long-term use of two cores, easily disturbed by the power cord of light, and the sound of zizi current keeps flowing.
Microphone priority: cannon line
Pit 2: Don't use Lotus Line to transmit stage audio over a long distance.
Store activities, small roadshows, some people use dozens of meters of lotus line to transmit accompaniment, there will be noise.
Long-distance accompaniment transmission: priority cannon/big three-core balance line.
Pit 3: Big three-core and big two-core should not be interchanged at will.
If the line interface of the mixer is a balanced input, plug in a large two-core wire, and the balance function will fail directly and the interference will become greater.
Pit 4: The balance line and the light power line are laid side by side and closely connected.
Don't bundle the audio signal line, the lighting DMX line and the high-voltage power line together, and don't run them in parallel for a long distance.
Conditions permit: separate the trunking, cross the wiring 90 vertically, reduce electromagnetic interference, and put an end to microphone current noise.
Pit 5: Cannon's male and female heads are inserted backwards
One end of the wire rod is male and the other is female. Do not forcibly modify the two ends of the wire rod/female for emergency use, which may easily damage the equipment interface.
Third, the simplest collocation scheme (novice copy directly)
Microphone → Mixer: Canon XLR
Output accompaniment of mixer → active speaker (short distance): 6.35 large three cores
Mobile phone/Bluetooth player → Mixer: Bluetooth receiver → Lotus RCA to 6.35
Electric guitar → Effector: 6.35 double core

Fourth, short video oral broadcast simplified version
Many people can't tell three kinds of lines when playing stereo, and the more the noise, the more the noise!
First, the Cannon line, dedicated for professional microphones, balanced signals, long-term anti-interference, is the first choice for stage and conference room.
Second, 6.35 is 6.5 heads, which are divided into two cores and three cores. Two cores for guitar; As far as possible, the line transmission of the mixer uses three cores.
Third, red and white lotus RCA, used in home players and televisions, can only be used for short distances, and long lines will produce current noise.
Remember the key points: weak vocal signal takes precedence over cannon; Lotus for household audio source; Musical instrument with 6.35 large core for short distance.
In addition, the audio cable should not walk side by side with the strong light wire, otherwise there will be noise in any tone.
